2016 Travel Possibilities & Answers to Questions

I thought I should take a few minutes to try to answer some inquiries:

1. Yes, I am still here. I am still working on the website.

2. No, I have not given up on road trips for visits to roadside attractions or on the road work. As some of you know, the last few years have been a bit rocky & unpredictable for me. Some times life happens with some harsh force and you have to alter or even cancel plans to adjust to what is your priority. With the serious decline of my dad’s health for two years prior to his passing, followed by various things that came up with some grandchildren, children, & some personal things the following year, I had to rework, reschedule, and unfortunately, sometimes even had to cancel visits and work. Last year, for various reasons, I had to adjusted my schedule and my time on the road was very limited. I had intended to get back in the swing of things of working like a crazy person in 2016.

3. Yes, I had told many people & businesses (road trip attractions) that I had intended to be pretty active on the road in 2016. At this point, it remains to be seen how things will really be for this year. Understandably, some people have become hesitant on counting on my being able to make it to their business or attraction. Again, I apologize. This has had an impact on the financial end of being on the road (I have to be able to completely cover gas, be able to eat, and have a safe place to sleep when I travel… and a little pocket money once in awhile doesn’t hurt 🙂 ). As of right now, I am not able to confirm visits or work for this year until I see how some very serious, close to home situations are looking. I know, I know… some of you have heard that before. Again, I apologize. But again, some serious things have occurred over the last few months that take priority. The big priority right now involves one of my (adult) daughters. Last November, she was diagnosed with breast cancer. She is down to two more chemo treatments & then she will need surgery. As much as I need to be able to work as much as possible and enjoy the on the road work, my daughter & what she is going through is a priority. So, until I see how things are going for her & this battle she is fighting, I do not know if I will be able to do extended on the road work (visits for the website, photography, etc). If she needs me, I need to be close to home.

4. So, will I be on the road for 2016? I am not sure. I have some random (scattered in various states) offers for a little work and requests for visits to attractions. Honestly, without more work or free places to spend the night lined up, I can’t afford to do them. But, until I know more about how my daughter’s health & needs are going to be, I cannot seek out work and be able to make commitments. If anyone is able & willing to be understanding & flexible with the current situation, then get a hold of me & let me know. I just cannot promise & commit to work or attraction visits quite yet.

5. Yes, I have more attractions to add to the website. I have hundreds of these that I currently have started pages for and need to get loaded on here. I have more than those that I have not had a chance to get started to put on pages.

6. Yes, I still do photography work. I can photograph attractions, businesses, motels, etc for your website or personal use. I also photograph festivals, celebrations, reunions, carnivals, town or church cookouts/picnics, town events, etc.

7. Yes, it is one person working on this website; although I probably could use a whole crew to get all of the road trip attractions up on the site.

I believe that covers the current, top general inquiries. As soon as I know for sure about travel possibilities for this year, I will update you. In the mean time, check back often to see the newest attractions that I add to the website!
