Spoon River rest area has a couple of nice features. Follow the path to walk across a covered bridge & you will find a lookout tower. You can climb the lookout tower to look at the view. A good stretch the legs stop.
This rest area can be found along I-74 eastbound, around mile marker 62; between Peoria & Galesburg, IL.
