NOTES:
*Keep hydrated & pace yourself! The elevation at the front gate starts at 6,800 ft.; at the highest places, Asian Highlands & Rocky Mountain Wild, the elevation is nearly 7,000 ft.
*Weather permitting, the zoo does have a shuttle. This can make getting around much easier! The cost is $2.00 & you will get a hand stamp, which is good all day.
*The shuttle is stroller & wheelchair accessible.
*There is free parking for zoo visitors.
*There are height & weight restrictions for riding the Shongololo Choo Choo. This is for little ones.
*The carousel is from the 1932 World’s Fair.
*My Big Backyard area contains an over-sized outdoors themed play area & petting zoo.
*Admission to Will Rogers Shrine of the Sun is included in zoo admission cost.
*Throughout the year, the last admission is at 4:00 p.m.
*Occasionally they have special events & will close early.
*They have wheelchairs & strollers for rent.
*Mountaineer Sky Ride is accessible from inside or outside of the zoo.
